2023 Vogelzang Vineyard, Rosé of Grenache
This lovely Rosé which is 100% Grenache from Vogelzang Vineyard has a sweet floral nose with hints of strawberry that pour into the mouth. The finish is structured and leaves you wanting another sip. Try pairing this Rosé with all things BBBQ. Perhaps a cucumber, melon, mint salad, and some baby back ribs.
Vineyard:
We have been working with this block of grapes since 2004. The vineyard is farmed by Coast Vineyard Care. Vogelzang Vineyard is located right in the middle of Happy Canyon AVA, in Santa Barbara County.
Winemaking:
The berries were foot stomped to break up the skins and then left in contact with the juice for 12 hours to pick up the slight coloring and phenolics. It had a long cool 35-day fermentation in stainless steel vessels. The wine completed its fermentation in stainless steel as well.
